Riverside RV Park, Bandera, Texas

With all the fun my family and I were having RV camping on the Frio River in Concan, we decided to extend our road trip during the 4th of July holiday. A combo of being true river rats at heart and our need to cool down from the Texas heat lead us to Bandera, Texas. The Texas Hill Country town is considered the Cowboy Capital of the World; when you drive through the town you will see why. Though we didn’t get a chance (this time) to do much in the Cowboy Capital, we did enjoy our stay at Riverside RV Park.

This quaint and quiet RV Park is located at 760 Highway 16 South in Bandera, Texas and on the Medina River. What I liked most about the location of the park is you can swim in the shade underneath the big oak trees; this made our time there even better since none of us got sunburned. The nephews loved floating around in the currents of the river and collecting river rocks. Before the sunset and as my brother and Dad did a bit of fishing, we took advantage of the hiking trail along the river and explored. We found animal tracks, feathers, and saw lighting bugs. When the sun finally set, the starry skies of the Hill Country were amazing and the warm summer breeze throughout the quiet night was a great way to end our 4th of July holiday.  The nephews had a blast.

The RV property is very nice, clean, and has amenities such as: 78 full-hookup sites, 30/50 amp service, Cable TV, phone, Wi-Fi internet, coin laundry, showers, BBQ areas, and a recreation hall with a kitchen and patio area. Wi-Fi connection came in handy as I had a bit of work to do while I was on the road. Pets are also allowed at Riverside RV Park as long as they are kept on a leash. Riverside is in the heart of Bandera and just a couple of miles away from boutiques, restaurants, and Bandera City Park. The park offers daily, weekly, monthly rates and welcome groups and rallies. If you are ever in Bandera and want a quiet spot to relax by the river, Riverside RV Park is a great spot to do so.
