2016 was a year filled with craziness, drastic change, self-growth, friendship circles shrinking, and the list goes on and on. Different than the prior year, this was the year I was officially forced to move on in life alone. The marriage I tried so hard to keep was not meant to be, the step-child I loved with all my heart was cut out of my life involuntarily, almost losing everything, and feeling like a failure, inspired me to share a lot of what I was going through in my blog posts. It not only helped me in my healing process, but the constant feedback and support I received showed me that I helped others in my writing as well. In all that has changed, it was time to make some changes, including my blog location.
Now that time has healed my wounds and my life is a bit more put together, the content I will share with you this year is going to change just as my life has. Many of you are readers and followers of my blog Shine Beautifully; it originally started as my personal self-built brand that consisted of my beauty studio, blog, and book series. A lot has changed since then. My passions that turned into a full-time career has lead me to new ventures. The Shine Beautifully Blog will strictly be based on the skin care treatments, services, and products used in the beauty studio. I will share with my readers and clients esthetic and waxing tips as well as keep them updated with current specials and upcoming treatments. As I mentioned earlier, the lifestyle part of my blog has moved; the new address is aprilmonterrosa.com. This year I will be writing about my travels, local events and businesses, sharing some cool city spots & news, reviewing automotive and products that I know my readers will find interesting. I will still share some of my motivational posts and handy lists for women (and male) readers that appreciate my insight on things and have begun the process to working on my second book. After the launch of my first, this time around, I am ready to really let go and share some personal tales with you. In closing, I want to thank all of you who have shown endless support and followed along through the good and bad of my life’s journey; I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for YOU.
