What do you do on a hot summer thirsty Thursday? You try out mango margaritas, what else? I was invited to attend TC’s Party on the Patio private media event by the fabulous Stephanie Guerra aka Puro Pinche to take part in festivities at Taco Cabana for a night of drinks, food, fun, and to sample the ALL NEW Mango Margarita before it hits the streets. The mango margarita was delicious! It not only cooled me down after a long day, enjoying the flavors of its coolness reminded me of being on a tropical vacation. It was smooth, fruity, and the chile lime rim gave it that spicy kick. Taco Cabana’s new mango margarita flavor pays homage to the quintessentially-Mexican pairing of sweet fruit flavors with spicy chile accents through the combination of all-natural Mango Puree with gold tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice and a spicy-salty Chile-Lime rimmer from San-Antonio-based Twang Partners!

Andy Dismore, Director of R&D, Taco Cabana, gave us some insight on the new margarita flavor and Chelsea Hubbard, R&D Specialist, Taco Cabana, also answered our questions about Taco Cabana’s new delicious flavor. Andy oversees the culinary vision, menu strategy and product development process for the 170-unit Taco Cabana chain. Andy’s committed to building upon each brand’s commitment to freshness and scratch-made authenticity with a dynamic pipeline of craveable and differentiated products ranging from the expected to the extraordinary. Chelsea is a new face at the Taco Cabana Test Kitchen, taking margarita development by storm. Chelsea has a degree in Food Science from Texas A&M University and a degree in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America that helped mold her into the research chef that she is today. With experience like this behind Taco Cabana, how can everything not be tasty!
