DIY Red Wine Facial Mask Recipes

Red Wine…An alcoholic beverage we’re encouraged to consume for the sake of our health and beauty. Red wine has long been championed for its anti-ageing properties, because, like the red grapes it’s made from, it is full of antioxidants and flavanoids. Red wine is also thought to promote a healthy heart and to have an anti-inflammatory effect on the body, thanks to a natural compound called resveratrol it contains. Here are some easy DIY red wine face mask recipes in honor of National Drink Wine Day!

Yogurt, Honey, & Red Wine Face Mask for Dry/Combo Skin

Ingredients:
1 cup plain yogurt
1 tbsp. honey
4-5 tbsp. red wine

Directions:
Steam your face using a steamer or hot towel for five minutes to open your pores and sweat out impurities.
Place yogurt, honey and red wine in a bowl and whisk ingredients together.
Liberally apply mixture to face with clean fingertips, taking care to avoid your mouth and eyes. Discard any remaining mixture.
Let the ingredients soak in to your face for 5 to 7 minutes and then rinse with warm water.
