I Slept in a Water Tank

I slept in a water tank. Yes, you read that right, I slept in a water tank. Not just me though; my parents and my best friend did too. While visiting one of my favorite coastal towns, South Padre Island, for their annual Sandcastle Days; we were hosted by the KOA.

Kampgrounds of America Holiday in South Padre Island has become one of my favorite places to stay on the island. The lodging property is truly unique, has everything you could possibly need and want, and the sunsets are amazing there.

This time around we stayed in Vacation Rental A and C. The condo has 2 full bathrooms and sleep up to 6 people. The unit has a view of the bay you’ll miss when you leave.

The vacation rental is located inside a 330, 000-gallon former water tank. How cool is that!? The unit is located on the second floor (no elevator) and no furbabies are allowed. (Not to worry, there are other pet friendly places on the property.)

The former water tank condo has 1 bedroom with a queen bed and 2 queen sleeper sofas with linens provided. It has a full kitchen with the following amenities: refrigerator, microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee maker, and ceiling fan.

Don’t worry, the rental is air conditioned and has cable (with over 20 channels) and Wi-Fi is available. Another bonus about this condo is it has its own washer and dryer room.

Take a tour of the water tank condo by watching the video! For more information about KOA Holiday in South Padre Island or to book a reservation, visit their site.

Oh, and definitely take an Aqua Zumba class, it is so much fun!
