October 20, 2016

During my hotel resort spa days, luck and good karma brought amazingly gifted people into my life; not only are they smart, kind, and caring, but some can also cook some amazing food and are true artists in the kitchen (we had some awesome potlucks!)… and those who are not, their husbands are. With having skin care and spice in common, my co-worker now friend Kaley and I hit it off quickly; Kaley is the wife of Chef Jay Shutts, creator and mastermind behind the Spanish influenced Southern style salsa, Flavor 107. (See how we all connect somehow?) If you haven’t tried the flavorful salsa, you are missing out! With lots of patience and hard work, Flavor 107’s creator will be having the grand opening of his food truck New Southern Kitchen next week.

New Southern KitchenNew Southern Kitchen will be offering their southern influenced, globally inspired dishes along with the famous salsa Flavor 107. Supporting local businesses, being a social media influencer and blogger, sharing this news was a must. Join me this Monday, October 24th, 2016 to celebrate the new venture of great friends of mine while enjoying some delicious food, their quenching agua frescas, or simply (BYOB) bring your own beverages. The event is family friendly…so, the more the merrier. Hope to you there and be sure to enter the giveaway below to a win a bottle of Flavor 107.

New Southern Kitchen- Jay Shutts

Chef Jay Shutts is proud to offer a Chef driven product with a blue-collar price tag. Having grown up on the Southeastern sea islands of Georgia he was exposed to the bounty of the sea and land from an early age. Combined with his 20 plus years in the Culinary Arts, seasonal freshness and quality are standards that he stands behind. Over the years his adventures have taken him on both a culinary and personal journey. He has cultivated a love for the many regional flavors that he has encountered and longed for one that balanced both where he was raised and where his heart led him to…Texas. Chef Jay’s cooking is best described as new southern cooking, delicately blending Southern United States styles with Spanish influences of the Latino and Caribbean cultures. This style of cooking is where Flavor 107 was born.
